The Papal Museum at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center was inaugurated at the hands of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, on Saturday, 16th March, 2013, on the first anniversary of the departure of His Holiness the Late Triple Beatified Pope Shenouda III.
The Museum houses a large collection of personal belongings of His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, his garments, and several of the gifts received by His Holiness.
The Papal Museum & Coptic Panorama also encompasses belongings of the late Archdeacon Habib Girguis, in addition to his personal library, his precious publications, and various rare manuscripts in his own hand.
The Coptic Panorama sheds light on the most significant historical events of the Coptic Church, such as the Advent of the Holy Family to Egypt, as well as many personalities who participated in preserving the Coptic identity, Mrs. Margit Toth being a case in point, in the framework of international cooperation with the Republic of Hungary.
The Papal Museum welcomes visitors and excursions from all over the globe, daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
