He held the book before his eyes. Yet, he neither saw the letters nor the words. Rather, he saw a wonderful sequence of pictures, in like manner he would watch a movie which hero was a character he loved a lot for its unique bravery which it used in helping others, namely, Robin Hood. This knight who was known in English folklore for his gallantry, as well as adeptness in darting arrows. Yet, he lived an outlaw during the Middle Ages.
He wished Robin Hood had been a true person, not a fictitious one: for many people suffer from injustice and despotism. Yet, these words reverberated within him, “You can still help others and strive for justice without being Robin Hood or following suit.” The sound of his conscience thundered, saying, “Is there another way?”
Though many people might have the same goals, they may achieve them through diverse ways which might, still intersect at a certain point. Also, these ways might seem similar, yet each leads to a different end. So, make sure you keep following the correct path, without deviation.
For instance, some people might choose one lofty, like helping the poor and weak. Yet, each might follow a different path to attain this noble purpose. One might toil and offer some of his money and effort to others. Another might approach some rich people, seeking their aid in different fields to offer whoever needs it. A third might act like Robin Hood, taking from the rich to give the poor, in an attempt to take the law into his hands. In effect, means and ways of achieving goals vary between the good and evil. So, man has to heed his steps, goals, and paths lest he get astray: for each path leads to a different end, and some have painful ends.
Remember, when you lose the way, stop walking, and never hesitate to go back to the starting point that you might start leading the correct path. Indeed, a few steps in the correct path are better than hurrying toward a sad end. Here we recall Solomon the sage’s word which sum man’s life and happiness up, “I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live”. This good will accompany us in eternal life. Indeed, you were created for life and good.
