In a study seminar of basic monastic virtues, 63 monks representing 34 Coptic Orthodox monastery in Egypt and abroad attended the seminar; the activities of the seminar hosted by Bishop Thomas in Anafora and headed by Bishop Sarabamoun monasticism committee executive, Bishop Daniel and Paula Executive Assistant of monasticism Committee of the Holy Synod.
This seminar aimed to the continuation and growth of the monastic revival in our Coptic Orthodox Church, and return to the basics and adhere to it’s basic virtues such as continious prayer, wisdom, obedience, celibacy and detachment.
HH Pope Tawadros II and a group of Bishops are lecturing in this seminar.
Attending parents also discuss some monastic issues in workshops, in addition to holding daily prayers, glorification, Vespers and Mass.
