Supreme State Security Prosecution investigations revealed the details of the preparation and bombing of St. Peter Church in Abbasiya.
Terrorist Rami Abdel Hamid admitted in a handwritten confession to the investigating authorities that terrorist Mohamed Muhammad Mustafa, the executor of St. Peter Church in Abbasiya bombing, is a member of ISIS in Sinai and met him through the accused Hussein Amer, whom he met through the accused Mohab Mustafa Qassem who he hosted in his apartment in 18, Salem Hegazi street.
He told him that his name is Mohammed and then communicated with him through Telegram program while he was in the apartment with an artificial name Abdullah and stayed in the apartment from 5 December 2016 until Sunday, December 11, 2016 morning and then came to him two others he did not recognize their name and brought with them a bag of explosives on Thursday, 2016 and that the executor of the operation sent him a message on Sunday, December 11, 2016 morning on the day of the bombing, he said to him, “Thank you for the good hosting and to meet with you in heaven” and then I heard in the news while I was at work that there was a bombing in St. Peter church in Abbasiya.
The defendant signed his handwritten confession dated December 13, 2016.
The Attorney-General has referred 48 terrorists to the military court for joining a terrorist organization that his accused members bombed St. Peter Church in Cairo and St. Mark church Alexandria and St. George church in Gharbia, 48 defendants, include 31 accused and 17 fugitives.
