A senior security source in Giza security directorate said that the security forces arrested 20 of the accused of storming yesterday St. Tadros church, in the village of Kafr al-Waselin, Atfih.
The source, added that Major General Essam Saad, Assistant Minister of Interior for the security of Giza, inspected the security forces assigned with securing the church after the attack.
He pointed out that the Director of Security forces ordered to show restraint, and to respond to any riots in accordance with the law, stressing on the good treatment of citizens.
The source pointed to the deployment of the security forces around the church led by Major General Ibrahim al-Deeb, Director of Giza Investigation, and his deputy Major General Reda al-Omda, and leaders of the sector east of Giza.
This comes after the spread of a rumor in the village after Friday prayers, of the intention of the church to install a bell, which caused the demonstration of hundreds.
