A “security” employee in Masara Subway Station assaulted an elderly monk and beat him, after the employee doubted that the monk has put the ticket in the entrance turnstile, The employee slapped him on the face and a number of young angry people gathered and protested inside the Subway station and the security detained the employee in one of the station rooms until the arrival of the police.
Monk was transferred to Rod El-Farag Police Station, to take his testimony and went to the prosecutors to investigate and save his testimony in the incident and engineer John Talaat Member of Parliament from Shubra election area went to the police station to attend the investigation.
