Yesterday, In the presence of Minister of Antiquities, the governor of Al-Gharbia, leaders of the Ministry of Antiquities and security leaders of Al-Gharbia the archaeological Church of the Martyr Abanoub was opened in Samanoud after the completion of the restoration work under the supervision of the Ministry of Antiquities.
Bishop Karas, General Bishop of Al-Mahala and a number of priests were in the reception of Dr. Khalid Al Anani, Minister of Antiquities, the Ministry leaders , governor of Al-Gharbia, Major General Ahmed Deif Saqr and some of the province leaders as the Church that its’ restoration work took about 11 years was opened.
The Opening was also attended by the heads of the Department of Antiquities sectors in Al-Gharbia, Central Delta, Samanoud and Mahala, Samanoud City Council, leaders of the Council, members of the House of Representatives and a number of security and local leaders in Mahalla and Samanoud.
