A Police source said that sovereign and security bodies questioned 40 suspects that may have participated in the bombing of St. George church in Tanta and St. Mark church in Alexandria on “Palm Sunday” and also arrested 6 other as investigations proved their link to the terrorist attacks.
The source, who refused to be named, said Police forces arrested 40 suspects from central and northern delta areas. Police also questioned a number of those involved in previous bombings in Beheira, Alexandria, Sinai and Cairo.
The source confirmed that suiciders “will not be identified until after the completion of the process of matching shredders of the suspects bodies and DNA analysis of their families.”
On Sunday, two suicide bombers targeted St. George church in Tanta and St. Mark church in Alexandria, killing 45 citizens and injuring 125 others. ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombings.
