Bishop Ibrahim Isaac Patriarch of Alexandria of the Copts Catholic, during his pastoral visit for the Diocese of Assiut, opened St. Teresa church of Franciscans, after it was re-restored by the Egyptian armed forces.
This church is among dozens of churches that were burned and vandalized three years ago, following the breaking up of Rabaa and ElNahda sit-in in Cairo. Egyptian armed forces took the responsibility of restoring destroyed churches.
Patriarch Isaac, as well inaugurated the Church of the Archangel Michael, in Beni Shakir his hometown.
