Pope Tawadros II conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Patriarch Theodoros II, the Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa for the Rome Orthodox Christians, on the occasion of Christmas. The Pope visited the headquarters of the Orthodox Church in the Hamzaoui area of Cairo, accompanied by a ecclesiastical delegation. Warm words of congratulations and affection were exchanged between Pope Tawadros II and Patriarch Theodoros II.
The visit included the presence of several dignitaries, such as Bishop Daniel, the Metropolitan of Maadi and the Secretary of the Holy Synod, Bishop Julius, the General Bishop for Old Cairo and its services, Bishop Angelos, the General Bishop for the churches of Shubra El Kheima, Father Sergius, the Deputy General of the Patriarchate in Cairo, and Father Kyrillos, the Secretary of Pope Tawadros II’s office. Also present were Father Rafael Ramzi and Deacon Joseph Reda from the Pope’s office, along with Dr. George Saleh, the honorary Secretary-General of the Middle East Council of Churches.
