International Commission of the United Nations Friends decided to choose Suad Thabet, Lady of El-Karam in Minya, to officially honoring and inviting her to attend the award in Brussels in the coming period for her humanitarian role, in addition to honoring HG Bishop Makarios, General Bishop of Minya, and give him a Goodwill and Peace Ambassador Prize.
The Commission also decided to honor the President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as a man of peace in the world, a tribute to his outstanding role in the community peace and anti-sectarian thought, the Commission said that the selection was based on a study of the events of Minya province, which broke out May 20.
And it stated that they will contact Mrs. Suad to invite her to come to Brussels next month to take the peace price for 2016, and HG Bishop Makarios, bishop in Minya, and Egypt’s ambassador to the European Union in Brussels, representing Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to give him a man of peace award for 2016, titled «Peace and Life Award »
