A delegation from Ain Shams University Students Union and a delegation from the “Students for Egypt” family paid an official visit to the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center on Friday, January 10, 2025, to offer felicitations to His Grace Bishop Ermia, General Bishop, Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center and Assistant Secretary General of the Egyptian Family House, on the Nativity.
The visit was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedin, President of Ain Shams University, and under the coordination and supervision of Prof. Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant Secretary General of the University for Education and Students Sector.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dehoum, the leader of the “Students for Egypt” family at Ain Shams University, expressed his sincere felicitations to His Grace Bishop Ermia and all the Coptic brethren on the Nativity, stressing that the holidays represent a great occasion to enhance the spirit of love and fraternity among the Egyptian people of all spectrums. He also pointed out that Egypt, under wise leadership, will always remain an oasis of security and safety, wishing for the continuation of love, peace and prosperity for our beloved country, Egypt.
For her part, student Wessam Khaled, head of the university’s student union, stressed the respect and appreciation of the university’s student union for His Grace Bishop Ermia and all the Coptic brethren, wishing that the New Year would be a year of goodness for the great Egyptian people.
As for His Grace Bishop Ermia, he expressed thanks and appreciation to the leaders of Ain Shams University and the “Students for Egypt” family for this generous visit, appreciating the pioneering role of the university and students in serving the community and promoting the values of fraternity and national cohesion.
At the end of the visit, the Ain Shams University Student Union and a delegation from the “Students for Egypt” family presented a gift to His Grace Bishop Ermia, and His Grace also presented a selection of books and publications from the center to the visiting delegation as an expression of his appreciation and fruitful cooperation.
This visit comes in appreciation of His Grace Bishop Ermia, who has a close relationship with the university, as he always emphasizes its position and contributions to building the nation. Within the framework of Ain Shams University’s keenness to consolidate and strengthen the bonds of cooperation and understanding between the university and the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, which contributes to building a cohesive society that is characterized by love and peace.
The visit was attended by Prof. Dr. Sameh Awadallah, Professor of the Media Department, and Mr. Riad Al-Awwam, Director of the Office of Families and Student Unions, in addition to the University Union Council.
