The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center Celebrated the promotion of His Eminence Bishop Benjamin to Metropolitan of Mnofia by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.
The ceremony was attended by His Eminence Bishop Bishoy of Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh and head of St. Demiana monastery of El-Barrari, HG Bishop Ermia general bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi Director of Hope Centers.
The ceremony began with Bishop Ermia speech stating: that since the selection of Pope Shenouda III to Bishop Benjamin metropolitan of Mnofia he was, an example in care, Bishop Ermiae pointed that Bishop Benjamin is a master who stick to proper orthodox faith. In his episodes at MarMarkos sat he offers accurate theologically and liturgically and bible education . And presented to His Eminence a Care stick as a gift in the name of the cultural center and ME Sat channel.
Then Dr. Ashraf explained that his relationship with Bishop Benjamin began five years ago, and that His Eminence encouraged to work with the Hope centers, , and his effort reached for up to three conferences a year, we started with four Hope center and with his effort they are now 81 centers in the evangelism, and spoke of his wisdom, and presented to His Eminence a Gift.
Then pastor Sarabamoun son of hope centers in Helwan delivered a poem about His Eminence.
Then spoke afterwards Bishop Bishoy, and said that Bishop Benjamin opened a seminary college branch in shebin El-Kanater, and called Bishop Bishoy to teach the subjects of Theoretical and dogmatic theology, Bishop Bishoy explained that this was the cause of teaching then at 15 seminary in Egypt and abroad, he said that when he was assigned by Pope Shenouda III for any errand in US or Germany he asked that Bishop Benjamin come with him, for example,we oversaw Germany churches and monasteries for eight years, For Hope centers it was the cause of saving many lives and He thanked Bishop Ermia for holding this meeting.
Metropolitan Bishoy stressed that the rank was honored by the promotion of Bishop Benjamin to the Metropolitan rank by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.
At the end of his speech Metropolitan Bishoy gave a picture of the Virgin Mary to Bishop Benjamin, because he love it so much.
Then the choir presented many spiritual hymns.
In the end it was Metropolitan Benjamin of Monoufia speech as he thanked Bishop Ermia on this ceremony and for the valuable gifts, and thanked everyone.
