German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier received Pope Tawadros II، Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark and a number of Patriarchs and Bishops from the Middle Eastern churches on Wednesday.
The Pontiff temporarily resides in Germany for therapeutic reasons، he is also attending a meeting of the Patriarchs and Bishops of the Churches of the Middle East under the theme “Christianity in the Middle East: Challenges and the Future” hosted by the German Church.
The visit’s agenda includes giving a lecture at the German Church. Pope Tawadros will also meet Anba Damian، the general bishop of Copts in Germany as well as several German politicians and public figures.
