President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi received , Tuesday, Theodros II, Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church in Alexandria and Whole Africa.
Ambassador Ala Youssef، a spokesman for the presidency said that the president welcomed the patriarch. He pointed out that Egypt is interested in bolstering values of affability، co-existence among the believers in various religions.
The president reviewed the steps taken to sustain values of citizenship، equality and tolerance.
He stressed the importance of fighting terrorism and extremism.
Youssef added the patriarch expressed appreciation to Egypt, people and leadership.
He praised the vital role of Egypt in the region along her efforts to restore security and stability to the Middle East.
