The Coptic Orthodox Church, headed by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, is due to held monastery of St. Samuel martyrs first year commemoration on 27 May.
The commemoration celebration will be divided to three parts; the first part will be held in Maghagha and Adwa where the Mass will be led by Bishop Agathon, while the second part will be held in the Monastery of St. Samuel in Mount Qalamoun in Minya province where the Mass will be led by Bishop Basileus , the monastery where the attack took place.
The sources pointed out that the third part to commemorate the martyrs will be held in Beni Suef Diocese, where a number of Martyrs belong, It is supposed to mention each martyr name during the mass to pay tribute and honor them.
