Church sources revealed that the Dioceses Committee of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Church rejected the resignation of HG Anba Abram, Bishop of Fayoum, that His Grace presented to HH Pope Twadros II to resign from his service in the church and devote himself to the life of monasticism in the monastery of St. Bishoy in Wadi al-Natroun.
The church sources pointed out that there is nothing in the law of the Church that allows the bishops and priests to abandon their service, and therefore the Dioceses Committee, headed by Pope Twadros II refused his request to resign.
