Mr. Justice Mahmoud Fawzi, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication, received His Grace Bishop Ermia, the General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, at the ministry’s headquarters in Qasr Al-Aini, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Grace Bishop Ermia warmly congratulated Justice Mahmoud Fawzi on his appointment, expressing his wishes for success in his national duties. The meeting centered around the need to enhance social awareness and strengthen the bonds of love and tolerance among the Egyptian people, as these are fundamental to achieving security and stability. Bishop Ermia emphasized that all divine religions call for living in peace and harmony, spreading noble values and good morals, with respect and acceptance of others.
For his part, Justice Mahmoud Fawzi highlighted the importance of political communication with all segments of society, stressing the need to consolidate the values of citizenship and social unity, especially in light of the current challenges facing Egypt. He also praised the significant national role played by the Egyptian Church and commended the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center for its active role in raising awareness and spreading positive values that contribute to the nation’s advancement. He stressed the need for national efforts to unite and stand behind the wise political leadership.
