Patriarch of Moscow and Pope Francis calls on the Pakistani authorities to protect Christians

On Monday, Both Patriarch of Moscow and Pope Francis calls on the Pakistani authorities to protect Christians from attacks, and that after last Lahore bloody attack.
Patriarch Kyrill – In a letter to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and reported by (Russia Today) Channel  – expressed his deep sorrow and regret for the attack, which killed dozens of people, including women and children.
Patriarch of Moscow demanded the Pakistani government to make efforts to safe the lives of the country citizens, including Christians, from any attack, and ensure that everyone’s have religious freedom right.
He expressed his hope that the Pakistan authorities take special steps to counter terrorism, which can be overcome only by joint efforts of authorities,religion men and all people of goodwill.
In the same context, Pope Francis called on the Pakistani authorities to make every effort to ensure the security of the population, especially the Christian minority after Lahore attack.
The Pope said: “Yesterday Easter celebrations in Pakistan  had a distasteful attack, again violence and hatred only lead to doom and destruction.”
It is noteworthy that at least 72 people were killed in a suicide attack targeted a crowded park in Lahore yesterday, while Christians celebrate Easter, and faction of the Taliban-Pakistan adopted the attack.
