Ali Abu Dawla, Fashn precinct deputy in Beni Suef governorate confirmed, that the events that took place in the village of Saft Khersa between Muslims and Copts ended with conciliation between the two parties after the meeting that lasted for about 10 hours to discuss all the events in the village.
The two parties agreed to:
1- allow Christians to hold their prayers in any Christian home in the village without any harassment from Muslims.
2- Allow Christians to build a church in the village after extracting the necessary permits from the concerned authorities.
2- Muslims allow the entry of utilities to the house,which is the origin of the dispute, and agreed that the house stay as a residential house and commit to engineering drawings, with no halls or external or internal decorations that significance it as a church.
Fashn precinct deputy, said that Muslims and Christians families seniors have signed the agreement and commits to the Magistrate clauses, he also appealed to the media to be accurate when publishing news and not to be dragged behind the statements that would inflame the situation between the two sides.
