Sohag diocese statement about attacking a daughter of a priest

On saturday night , July 2, 2016, Lucia El-Kess Angelios Morad (15) was crossing the rod near the diocese as she was attacked by unknown person who tried to assault her and slaughter her using a knife but she was rescued by a group of young people after being severely injured in her neck. People arrested the aggressor and delivered him to the police station and the girl was transported to Helal hospital and entered the operation room to stop the bleeding.

Dr. Ayman Abdel-Moneim governor of Sohag, Gen. Ahmed Aboul Fotouh security maager, security leaders and Bishop Pachom Bishop of Sohag, Al-Monshaa and Maragha visited the girl in the hospital to check on her health.
Sheikh Abbas Schumann secretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif telephoned His Eminence Anba Pachom to denounced the unfortunate incident and expressed his wishes that God saves all Egyptians from all evil.
