In the framework of joint cooperation between Youth Bishopric and The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center “University folks Festival” ceremony was held on Friday, July 29, 2016, at The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center in St. Mark Cathedral in Abbasia. The festival theme this year was Love ” Let all that you do be done with love”
The ceremony began with a special part entitled (We Love you Anba Moussa) to welcome Bishop Moussa after he returned from England after a pastoral and therapeutic trip.
At first, Tony Qadri the Secretary General of the festival presented a Panorama about the festival to explain festival activities details, which included spiritual activity, artistic activity and physical activity. The goal of the festival since its inception is to integrate young people in the church to live a real cenobitic life and to be like him and to win his kingdom.
Then Bishop Moussa, general Bishop of Youth delivered a speech about the genesis of university folks Festival 50 years ago, he has pointed out that the late Dr. Makram Mehana was one of the founders of the festival.
The ceremony included a variety of series such as “complex choral” of university folks and Dr. Aida Nassif, professor of philosophy at Cairo University and Seminary College speech about “Love the center of our lives.”
Nearly 200 young men and women from different university folks participated at the ceremony, and the ceremony was presented by presenter Miranda Botros.
