HG Bishop Anthonios Morcos, Bishop of the General Affairs of Africa, held blessing prayers in the new land owned by the Coptic Church in Malawi, to build the first Coptic church.
The prayers were attended by Ambassador Maher Al-Adawi, Egyptian Ambassador to Malawi, a number of members of the Egyptian diplomatic mission and some Catholic nuns from the Order of Mary Mediatex.
The foundation stone of the new church is expected to be laid on Feb. 11, and Malawian President Arthur Peter Mutharika will take part in the ceremony after the church has invited him to participate in this important event.
