The Italian newspaper “elMassagero” predicted a strong recovery for the Egyptian tourism sector following the decision to revive the “Holy Family” path, noting in a report on Wednesday that the move would open the door to the influx of thousands of Christian pilgrims who set the Holy Land as their first destination.
The project to revive the Holy Family path will be followed by a remarkable increase in government revenues from the tourism sector, in conjunction with the improvement of Egypt’s image to the world’s countries and the improvement of levels of security and stability, the newspaper said in its report.
The Italian newspaper said in its report that the Egyptian government target at least 2 million tourists from the Vatican pilgrims after activating the Holy Family path, pointing out that the Minister of Tourism Yahya Rashid went to the Vatican to deliver a letter from President Abdel Fattah Sisi to Pope Francis and also discussed with officials and investors in the sector Tourism, the means to support the religious tourism sector.
