Funeral of Tamav Mariam, head of the Monastery of the Virgin in Neubria, was held yesterday at her monastery.
The funeral was attended by Their Eminences Bishop Mataos, head of the Syrian Monastery, Bishop Thomas Bishop of Qusiya and Mir, Bishop Justus, Bishop and Abbot of St. Anthony’s Monastery in the Red Sea, Bishop Raphael, Bishop of Downtown Cairo churches and Secretary of the Holy Synod, Bishop Kyrilos Ava Mina Abbot of St. Mina monastery in Marriout, Bishop Theodosius, Bishop of Giza, Bishop Isaac General Bishop and spiritual master of St. Macarius monastery, Bishop Ishak General Bishop of Fayoum, Bishop Markos Bishop of Hayek El Qobbah annd Waili churches, Bishop Eklimondos Bishop Ezbet El-Haggana, Almaza and Zahraa Madinet Nasr, Fr. Sergius Sergius General Deputy of the Patriarchate in Cairo, Fr. Makary Habib, Fr. Amonios Adel secretary of His Holiness the Pope and a large group of priests and monks.
His Eminence Bishop Raphael gave a condolence speech and read the message of condolences sent by His Holiness Pope Tawadros, who is currently in Germany.
