The Seminary college of Alexandria celebrated the opening of its renovation works on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at St. Mark’s Apostle’s College scalar, in the presence of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.
The celebration began with Thanksgiving prayer, followed by singing church hymns by Choir of seminary college and the churches of Alexandria, and then a group of hymns by “Life within you” choir.
ِA number of speeches were delivered by Bishop Elarion, General Bishop of the Churches of the Western Sector of Alexandria, Fr. Abraham Emile, Patriarchal Vicar in Alexandria, Joseph Nabil, Head of the Patriarchal Diwan in Alexandria and Fr. Abram Bashnoudi, Vice-Dean of Alexandria seminary College.
The Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria gave a commemorative gift to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and His Grace Anba Daniel, Bishop of Maadi and Secretary of the Holy Synod, and Fr. Angelos Isaac, secretary of His Holiness, engineers who made the renovations, as well as the first graduations batch of the College.
Alexandria is witnessing two special events: His Holiness inaugurating the Patriarchal Diwan and Seminary college and the centenary of the Sunday Schools, which will be held at the Grand Conference Hall of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and will be attended by His Holiness Pope and a number of church Pontiffs.
