His Holiness Pope Twadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, sent a message of condolences to the nuns of St. Virgin Mary monastery in Haret Zuweila, for the departure of the abbot of the monastery Tamav “Mariam”.
“My sincere condolences to the sisters of this blessed monastery, this noble mother, Tamav Mariam, was a good example of meekness, love and the authentic monastic spirit that she experienced with all her might and reverence” said the Pope.
The Pope continued: “The virtuous mother Mariam, built her monastery, on the monastic and architectural levels, and the monastery became fragrant smell among the rest of our Coptic monasteries”
His Holiness concluded his message by saying: “My sincere condolences to her family and all her lovers and ask for her prayers for our sake, so that the Lord may complete our estrangement path in peace.”
