His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, received Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, at the papal residence at the Cathedral of St. Mark in Abbassia.
“The Pope pointed up the pride and appreciation of every Egyptian of the precious land of Sinai,” said Fr. Boulos Halim, spokesman for the Coptic Orthodox Church. He asked on God to protect it from all evil and upcoming period to witness further development and growth in various fields.
The meeting was attended by HG Anba Apollo, Bishop of South Sinai, Fr. Angeleos Ishak, and Fr. Amonius Adel, Secretary of His Holiness the Pope.
