Luxor Police prosecutor Judge Ahmed Abdul Rahman began the investigation in the burning of St. George Coptic Catholic Church in Aladdin Street in Luxor .
A large fire had broke out at the dawn of yesterday, at St. George Coptic Catholic Church, the center of Luxor, and civil protection forces succeeded to control the situation, and saved the area from a disaster due to the presence a generator full of fuel in the fire site, which may have resulted a great losses within the building.
The Father of the church said that the fire is resulted because of a candle that fell in the Prayer niche.
