Youth Committee of the Egyptian Family House held a meeting on Wednesday, 24 May 2017, at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center in Abbasiya, headed by Dr. Massaad Aweys, Rapporteur of the Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, the committee members congratulated His Holiness Pope Twadros II, Pope of Alexandria, and Patriarch of the See of the St. Mark See for receiving the International Prize of Christian Orthodox Union of 2016, and thanked him for giving the award to the new cultural center which includes a church and a mosque in the new administrative capital.
The members also congratulated His Eminence Anba Ermia, General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, Assistant Secretary General of the Egyptian Family House, for being honored by the Egyptian and Arab Solidarity Foundation for Social Development and the Egyptian and Arab Unity Movement Movement in recognition of his national role in spreading the culture of tolerance.
During the meeting, Dr. Massaad Aweys confirmed that the Youth Committee is continuing with the rest of the committees of the family house to carry out activities in all cultural, scientific and artistic fields in all governorates. He revealed that all Egyptian youth will be invited to be friends of the youth committee of the family house.
Dr. Massaad Aweys announced that a page will be launched on the social networking site Facebook for the Friends of the Youth Committee, noting that there is a proposal to launch a youth program entitled “Call for Optimism”.
