“Against the tide” conference for Arabic-speaking took place from 20 to 23 of October in Forest Falls in southern California.
The conference was attended and lectured at by Their Eminence Bishop Serabion Bishop of Los Angeles, Bishop Raphael General Bishop of downtown Cairo Churches and secretary of the Holy Synod and Bishop Abraham General Bishop and the supervisor of the youth speaking Arabic service.
Bishop Rafael spoke about non-sectarian challenges, atheism, the importance of the Old Testament and union with God. Also participants bishops participated in replying to questions from the young audiences, who numbered more than 160 youth.
