Churchill says: “Continuous effort – neither intelligence nor strength – is the key needed to unleash our implicit capabilities”. In life, some think that either intelligence or strength or post or luck is the means of attaining the peak in life path. However, these elements are nothing but assisting to man’s work, persistence and continuous effort exerted throughout the path of life.
In life, we may meet a person who has dreams only, yet no remarkable signs of his life can be found on the real ground, and we may meet him who dreams, then gets up and works for this dream, accomplishing the greatest achievements possible. In this respect, the following is among the best things I have read: “We all will undergo death, the purpose of life is not to live eternally, but to make something in this life that lives eternally.”
This type of accomplishments is realized only through continuous persistent work for attaining a high purpose set before our eyes; it is greater than achieving material gains, it is seeking to cheer up mankind. This is manifested in the life of many people; among whom is the Physician and Chemist Marie Curie and her husband Pierre Curie. Marie, some call her Maria, had exerted hard continuous efforts to be the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize, and the only one to get it twice in Physics and Chemistry. Marie suffered on the financial level to pursue her life path, and worked as a nanny to some families in order to support her sister. In France, during her university study, she took a humble room on lease over the roof of a house, she used to study at day and work to hardly support herself, until she managed to get a PhD in Physics.
She worked then at an industrial laboratory, and at the same time continued her study at Sorbonne University until she obtained a PhD in Mathematics. After getting married and giving birth to her daughter Irine, she began teaching at the High Professors School. When the married couple began their researches, they had no personal laboratory, but they conducted most of their researches at a poor ventilated room penetrated by rains, with no financing or support for their researches. Nonetheless, the married couple exerted hard effort without stopping or giving up. I have frequently asserted in the previous articles, and I still do, that every man has great capabilities which need to be discovered and employed, and hence, the dreams will turn into reality on the ground. There is no way to achieve that other than unstoppable efforts, unhindered by problems or obstacles throughout the journey of life. Do not get worried or desperate in your life, but rather try to exploit all the potential capabilities within and around you, work with all persistence and eagerness, and definitely you will find God aiding you: “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings…”
