On 24th of July.2013 Lieutenant-general Abdel Fattah el-Sisi asked all the honorable Egyptians to go on mass demonstrations to grant him a mandate in order to crack down on terrorism and expected violence. He also inquired them to adopt the same vision they had on 30/6 and 3/7 and know they own the right of self-determination and they are inquired to join demonstrations to show the whole world that they own that right and they came to grant the Egyptian military and police a “mandate” to crack down on terrorism. This was the speech of the president of Egypt el-Sisi who was a Lieutenant-general at that time. Egyptians answered his inquiry going on mass demonstrations at all the squares on Friday, 26th of July, 2013.They declared their decision out of their free will that they refuse all kinds of terrorism. It was not the first time that Egyptian declared their decision and expressed their free will.
Naguib Mahfouz, the great writer, has depicted the great role of Egyptians at his novel “The struggle of Thebes” of which he said about the wanted to show people that if Egyptians could achieve victory in the ancient times, they can do the same in our modern age. Egyptians have always proved him right. During the 1919 demonstrations, Egyptians supported the leader of the revolution “Saad Zaghloul ” and compelled the British forces to let him return from the exile. They also supported the 1952 revolution that was launched by the military. Egyptians have always been defending their principles and taking their own stances over history. Egyptians flooded into the streets in all the squares of Egypt to transform a clear message to the whole world that indicates the following:
• Egyptians put their trust in their leaders and people who work for them. They are ready to sacrifice their souls for the sake of their country.
• They own the right of self determination and no decision can be imposed on them
• Egyptians seek peace, security and decent life. They have been pursuing the essence of life here and after since dawn of history.
• They will spare no effort, if Egypt needs their help. They will not hesitate to rebuild and restore its glories. Egyptians have always been makers of a great civilization that have been witnessed by the world. They showed humanity many inventions in agriculture, industry: mining, glass, crockery, building houses instead of caves and ship industry. They offered many inventions in: medicine, astronomy, Mathematics, measurements, engineering and Trigonometry. They also offered the world the solar calendar that the world follows nowadays. Stability was the invention of these who build civilizations. Since ancient ages, Egyptians understood the true meaning of beauty, life and construction and transformed it to the whole world. Thus, they also taught the whole world how to create peace, justice and mercy. Egypt is the country of peace, security, civilization along with the blessings it obtained thanks to the prophets who live on her land and the visits of the Holy Family.
The commemoration of the mandate’s day is an assurance of the trust that people granted to their leaders who pursued to guarantee security, peace and welfare of Egypt. Egyptians, Mr. President, consider your Excellency the Egyptian hope in keeping Egypt safe and secure. We mandate Your Excellency. God keep Egypt safe and protect her from all evil.
