Sua Eminenza il Vescovo Anba Antonio, Vescovo della Diocesi di Milano e abate del monastero Anba Shenuda Archimandrita, il sinodo dei padri monaci e dei padri sacerdoti della Diocesi, insieme a tutta la comunità copta della Diocesi di Milano:
1- Rifiutano assolutamente la reazione della polizia israeliana, che ha aggredito i monaci copti del monastero di El Soltan, i quali rivendicavano i loro diritti di amministrazione del monastero situato accanto alla Chiesa della Resurrezione. L’aggressione è avvenuta nonostante la presenza di una delibera del tribunale israeliano che concedeva alla Chiesa Copta Ortodossa il diritto di possesso e proprietà del monastero.
2- Concordiamo con la posizione di Sua Eminenza Anba Antonios Metropolita di Gerusalemme, che ha ribadito saldamente il diritto della Chiesa Copta nell’amministrazione del monastero copto di El Soltan.
Ci appelliamo alla Chiesa Cattolica, la nostra Chiesa sorella, e al Governo Italiano di confermare tale diritto storico e legislativo. Preghiamo Dio di effondere la Sua pace sulla Santa Chiesa, di riconcedere i diritti ai loro titolari e che lo Spirito dell’amore regni tra i fratelli nel Signore.
