Nader Gerges, coordinator of the Committee of the Revival of the Holy Family, said that up to now, 8 places of the family path, from 25 places, will be prepared on in three stages.
Gerges said that the first phase will begin with 5 places, including Anba Bishoy Monastery, Al-Syrian, Baramous Monastery in Wadi Al-Natroun, Abi Sarja Cave, Hanging Church in Old Cairo and St. Virgin Mary Monastery in Maadi. These placess are properly rehabilitated and restored by the authorities.
He explained that three other sites are being worked on, including El-Tayr Mount in Minya, Queen Helana, the mother of King Constantine Church, Musharraq Monastery in Mount Qusakum in Assiut, the last stop of the journey of the Holy Family to Egypt.
