Deputy Minister of Antiquities Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdellatif visited the Monastery of Saints Anba Begol and Anba Bishay, the Red Monastery, during a visit to the archaeological church of the Monastery he listened to an explanation from Fr. Antonius Al-Shenoudi, the secretary of the monastery, about the history of this church and its restoration.
During the visit, Dr. Abdul Latif was accompanied by Mohamed Abdel Rasoul, head of the Central Administration of Antiquities of Southern Upper Egypt, Mostafa Ahmed, Director General of South Upper Egypt excavations, and directors and inspectors of the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities Sector in the region.
