His Grace Khour Bishop Philippe Nejm, Patriarchal Manager for Caledonians in Egypt, and Fr. Rafiq Jreish, head of the Press Office of the Catholic Church in Egypt, have paid an official visit to Dr. Nabil Al-Araby, Secretary-General of the Arab League. The meeting revolved around developments of the Iraq situation, and the crimes to which Iraqis are exposed at the hands of the ISIS terrorist organization.
Fr. Rafiq affirmed in a press statement that the Secretary-General and assistants expressed their empathy and concern with the cause, requesting a memorandum of explanation be offered to the Arab League representatives, also tackling in their dialogue the convoy prepared by the Catholic Church to assist Iraqis who were evicted from their homes.
