HG Bishop Marteros, bishop of east railway area, held a seminar with the priests of east railway churches, in the presence of HG Bishop Ermia, General Bishop head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, to discuss “the role and impact of media on pastoral duties” Bishop Ermia delivered a lecture entitled “The role and media impact on pastoralism” He talked about several topics including: reference of written media, the integrity and superiority of the media message, the responsibility and the role of the media in the pastoral field in terms of pros and cons and how it can be a successful tool in spreading the values and principles and the problems of various social media platforms that reached it’s zenith and perhaps there are still surprises in the progress of the world of media as His Eminence advised to exercise caution when writing and posting on this fast media platforms that has made the world a small village.
HG Bishop Marteros gave HG Bishop Ermia a book of Archdeacon Habib Girgis in English as a gift after His Eminence visited the relics of Archdeacon Habib Girgis to get blessed.
It is worth mentioning that the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center embraces a museum that contains belongings and library of Archdeacon Habib Girgis and so the Coptic Patriarchal museum and Panorama.
