Dr. Fawzi Tadros, Arab world specialist at Library of Congress, welcomed Bishop Marteros, General Bishop, during his visit to the United States on the sidelines of Coptic Studies Conference, which takes place at Claremont University, Los Angeles, California.
Anba Marteros said: This conference is held regularly every four years in one of the countries of the world and the idea began in 1976 during The reign late Pope Shenouda III and in the presence of a number of foreigners and Egyptians specialists in Coptic studies.
And about his visit to the library of congress and the reception of Dr. Fawzi His Eminence said: Dr. Fawzi works at the Library of Congress for 33 years and was the main drive to record the heritage of Coptic Hymns at the Library by Professor Ragheb Moftah, and he told me that my book “Coptic Monasticism The Mother Of All Christian Monasticisms All Over The World” which has been translated into English is present in the library and this increased my pride of Coptic Monasticism and I donated the library another book in English about Archdeacon Habib Girgis, and His grace viewed the catalog of Coptic manuscripts and spoke about the importance of the cooperation of our church with the Library of Congress and the development of relations with them for the benefit of taking a privileged position amidst the World Heritage.
