Assiut Diocese officials laid the foundation stone of St. George Church in “Qalata Company” neighborhood in Assiut, on Saturday, after issuance of a decision to rebuild it.
It is noteworthy that St. George church in Yossri Ragheb street in Assiut, was built about 70 years ago, as a built decree was issued in 1946, while construction began in 1947, and first mass was held on 25 July 1948.
