A delegation from the Egyptian family house visited on Tuesday the victims of the terrorist attack in Alexandria, which targeted the Church of St. Mark last week. The delegation was headed by Dr. Mohieddin Afifi, Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, General Coordinator of the Egyptian Family House, Fr. Boutros, Deputy Secretary General of the Kafr El-Sheikh Diocese, Assistant Rapporteur of the religious discourse committee of the Egytian Family House, a number of members of the Egyptian Family House, Egyptian Church and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
The delegation also visited victims in the military hospital and the police hospital in Alexandria. The delegation also extended their greetings to the wounded and their prayers for speedy recovery and gave them some gifts.
The delegation stressed that Egyptians are one against extremism. He pointed out that the Egyptians live together in coexistence and citizenship. The delegation explained that Egyptians are capable of confronting these desperate attempts by unity, wise leadership and army.
The delegation expressed its solidarity with the injured, pointing out that Egyptians have proven to the world throughout history that their homeland is the most precious thing and they may die to protect it.
The delegation also stressed the important role played by the Egyptian Family House, which includes Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Egyptian Church, in developing the spirit of citizenship and spreading the values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence and confront violence and extremism which seek to destroy the country.
