Heads of the three Oriental Orthodox Churches issued a joint statement after their meeting in Lebanon, hosted by the Syriac Church.
The statement included key points surrounding the meeting of the three patriarchs, presence of Christianity in the Middle East, the situation of the Syriac Orthodox Church in India, the official theological dialogues with the churches, and the work of the subcommittees and signed an official common declaration, covering these issues of common interest
The statement pointed to the meeting of the heads of the Orthodox churches of the two families in the hospitality of the Coptic Church next year, as well as dialogues with the Orthodox churches of Chalcedon, Catholic and Anglican.
The statement also cited efforts and relationships with the World Council of Churches, the Middle East Council of Churches and the World Federation of Bible Societies
