About COCC

The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center (COCC) was established in 2008 to preserve the rich Coptic heritage as an important epoch in Egyptian history and Christian tradition worldwide; incite new generations to cherish a sense of identity and awareness; enhance educational and cultural exchanges to strengthen understanding and international cooperation between people; provide a setting where scholars and researchers are encouraged to pursue knowledge; bridging understanding between the church and the Egyptian and international community around it; extend assistance to the poor, sick, handicapped and other needy people.

Believing in the importance of liberal education as the basis for development and progress, Cocc established education and training institutions for the youth and scholars.
The Center houses ME SAT Channel (MarMarkos Egyptian Satellite Channel) which is broadcasted in Egypt and worldwide; COCC ACADEMY; ME SAT Media Academy; Studio ME Sound; Atohobony/Do You Love Me? Channel program; The Saint Mark Public Library; Conference Hall equipped with audio – visual and simultaneous translation facility;
The Patriarch’s Museum and Coptic Panorama; Cocc offers several touristic services cooperating with Chrismar Travel;
Culturama project (under construction), Printing and Publishing, and Training rooms.
