The Minister of Antiquities, Dr. Khaled El Anany and Minister of Finance, Dr. Amr El-Garhy received on Monday “David Lipton”, First Deputy of the International Monetary Fund, at the Religions complex during his visit to Egypt.
Dr. Gamal Mustafa, Head of the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities Sector, said that the visit included a tour of the Coptic Museum, Ben Azra Temple, the Hanging Church and Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque.
He pointed out that Lipton expressed his happiness for his presence in those ancient holy spiritual places that reflect the history and civilization of an entire nation. He stressed that the religions complex emphasize the religious and historical diversity of the region and cultural harmony. Expressing religious tolerance and brotherhood of the Egyptian people.
He explained that this visit is a message of reassurance from the heart of Egypt to various countries of the world, inviting them to visit Egypt in general and the area of Old Cairo and religions complex in particular.
