“Coptic icon making philosophy Seminar” – May 21, 2013

The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, under the auspices of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, and his partner in Apostolic service His Grace Bishop Ermia [Jeremiah], General Bishop and President of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center held seminar on May 21, 2013 entitled “Philosophy Coptic icon making philosophy Seminar” Mr.Wadie Botros- President of the restoration department at the Ministry of Antiquities gave the lecture. Dr. Peter talked what is an icon in general, and its history and what it represents through the ages.  He added that the icon has symbol and meaning.
