Cairo Criminal Court, held today in Abbasia, postponed the verdict of the accused, Ahmed Said al-Sunbati, to the charge of killing on “October 2017” Fr. Samaan Shehata, the priest of the church of St. Julius al-Aqfahsi in elMarj area , to February 12.
Attorney-General Nabil Sadiq ordered the accused to be referred to the Criminal Court for premeditated murder trial.
The prosecution accused Ahmed Said Ibrahim al-Sunbati that on October 12, he deliberately and intentionally killed Fr. Saman Shehata, in elMarj area, and that he intended to kill any of the Christian clergy and stomping him in a place, he was sure to pass by, and when he saw him, he stabbed him with several stabs and blows in his body, killing him.
