HH Pope Tawadros II received at the papal abode on Thursday, three of the pontiffs of the Syriac church their Eminences Archbishop George Saliba, Archbishop Daniel Korea and Archbishop Matta Khoury and His Eminence Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian Archbishop of the Armenian Church in Lebanon.
The meeting was attended by Fr. Angelios Isaac, Fr. Ammonius Adel secretaries of the Pope and Professor Gerges Saleh Honorary Secretary General of the Council of Middle East Churches.
The Pontiffs of the two Orthodox churches visit come on the sideline of their participation in the international conference organized by Al-Azhar and the Council of Elders of the Muslims entitled “freedom and citizenship” which concluded on Wednesday.
