Egypt’s Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops is organizing a Prayer Eve for all the evicted, fleeing, wounded and martyred of Iraq’s Christians. Moreover, as per Pope Francis the First’s request. It takes place at 7:30 p.m. next Monday the 18th of August at the Caledonian Basilique [Cathedral] of the Virgin Mary at St. Fatima, Heliopolis, Cairo. The prayer meeting will incorporate Metropolitan Philippe Nejm of Iraqis in Egypt, as well as all representatives of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs, bishops, priests, monks and nuns. The Church is also accepting donations to convey to the evicted Christians of the province of Irbil.
