On Sunday, March 19, 2017, Diocese of Ismailia issued an official statement detailing the efforts exerted by the Diocese in collaboration with the executive authorities of Ismailia and the relevant ministries to deal with the needs of the Coptic families from El Arish.
The statement stressed that the Diocese did not assign anyone to collect donations, and that all donations are handed at the headquarters of the diocese directly, and then distributed to the families according to their needs.
Concerning the financial donations, the statement said that the diocese opened an account at the National Union Bank, Ismailia branch, pointing out that the account accepts all types of currencies, and is dedicated only to the families of El Arish.
