Recently issued: Interpretation of St. Peter the Apostle’s First Epistle
By Dr. Maurice Tawadros
Foreword
Saint Peter the Apostle wrote two epistles to the faithful is dispersion, especially those who are in Minor Asia. In this epistle, he gives solace and comfort to the faithful for the persecutions they face, calling them to endure the suffering and temptations, and setting the endurance of Lord Christ to pain before their eyes, hence, they shall follow His suit: “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps” (1 Peter 2: 21). Saint Peter the Apostle asked the faithful to lead a life of saintliness, so he presented some advices to them, pointing out to their most important missions.
